An Inconvenient Beauty is the fourth book in Kristi Ann Hunter’s Hawthorne House Regency series. This book does a wonderful job of wrapping up the series if you’ve read all of the previous novels, but it is really easy to read as a stand alone novel as well, because each book contains a unique storyline. For the best experience you should read all of the previous installments, because the characters do continue and might get a little confusing.

Griffith, the Duke of Riverton, is finally convinced that he really needs to settle down and find a wife. He sets his sights on Miss Frederica St. Claire, but for some reason, she has no interest in him, despite the urging of her parents that he is a wonderful match. Isabella Breckenridge is Frederica’s cousin, and although Frederica pushes Isabella and Griffith together, Isabella has some secrets she’s hiding and tries to stay away despite her attraction.

Detective Colin Flynn is assigned to the case, and the more he investigates, the stranger the case gets, and he and Trish grow closer. What exactly is happening, and can it be stopped?

Out of the Ordinary is the second book in Jen Turano’s Apart from the Crowd series, which focuses on a group of wallflower women. Turano’s books are humorous, fun historical romances.

Gertrude tries to protect her employer, but ends up getting embroiled in a scandal of her own. It unfortunately involves Harrison Sinclair, a handsome man with a bit of attraction toward Gertrude.

Vanishing Point is the fourth book in Lisa Harris’s Nikki Boyd Files series, about a missing persons investigator who has the mystery of her long-missing sister at the back of her mind. Each of the books in the series has a stand alone case to be solved, but it also follows Nikki’s developing relationship with Tyler and her ongoing pursuit of her sister’s whereabouts. This novel delves into the serial murders of young girls, and a possible tie-in to Nikki’s sister. If you like books featuring missing people and books that have quite a few twists, this is an excellent series. Harris is a talented thriller writer.
