The Wife Between Us is a psychological suspense novel written by Sarah Pekkanen and Greer Hendrickson. It’s full of some delicious twists that will keep you intrigued and turning pages quickly to find out what is really going on. This novel has everything I love about a good suspense thriller. Check out the entry form below, I have THREE finished copies of this book to give away, you will seriously not want to miss this one!

From the Back Cover:
When you read this book, you will make many assumptions.
You will assume you are reading about a jealous ex-wife.
You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement – a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love.
You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle.
Assume nothing.
Twisted and deliciously chilling, The Wife Between Us exposes the secret complexities of an enviable marriage – and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love.
Read between the lies.
My Thoughts:
Well, I didn’t keep the back cover warnings in mind when I was reading. I did make assumptions, because this book seems very straightforward on the surface. You have two women: Nellie–a young, sweet girl who teaches preschoolers and meets the fantastic Richard. She doesn’t want to know too much about his ex-wife, because that is all in the past. Vanessa–a cynical young woman living with her aunt. She has a bit of a problem with alcohol. Obsesses about Richard and the woman he is now with. Tries to figure out a way to confront the woman about Richard and what she knows about his reprehensible character.
Which narrator’s version of events can you trust? Or can you trust either one? Every character in this novel has something hidden, something they are keeping from the other characters. This is a much more complex story than it appears on the surface. It’s compulsively readable (yes, I did just use that phrase, and yes I know it is a cliche and overused–but believe me, it fits!) and the pacing is spot-on. Because just when you get a little tired of one characters’ naivete, of the other one’s wallowing, of another’s deception–everything, and I mean everything, you think is going on is completely turned on its head. The back cover warns you, I’m warning you, but you won’t listen.
Psychological suspense has long been my go-to genre, even before it became a big thing. Some books are done well, others are predictable and not really worth your reading time. The Wife Between Us is a definite winner on all points in this genre of books. It goes directions you won’t expect, but will be so excited to read when those directions change. The creativity of the authors is stellar and the book is a very satisfying read. Take my word for it and go pre-order yourself a copy. The book releases January 9, 2018.

This is on my TBR list. I just finished Final Girls, that I really enjoyed.
I really liked that one too! I saw it was on GR best of the year list under horror, which I don’t really agree with, but it gave me something to vote for in that category!
The Breakdown by B.A. Paris was really good.
That’s a great one, some good twists!
This is on my TBR list, for sure.
